These categories present pioneer postcards published directly by The Albertype Co. depicting Canadian scenes as well as a small regional collection of Canadian publishers who subsequently used the services of The Albertype Co. to produce postcards for their local markets.
Prior to offering their custom publishing services to local merchants, The Albertype Co. made its wares available across eastern and central Canada directly starting in 1898, without local publisher attribution. Their local publishing offerings seemed to come to life in the early years of the 20th Century, using templates that local vendors could access. During this time, The Albertype Co. also offered similar services to local merchants across the USA.
